Location & Facilities
The building is to be found opposite St Michael’s Church. A major refurbishment was undertaken in 2008 and it was further extended in 2010. The facilities include everything you could want to accommodate parties, club meetings or wedding receptions etc.
The building comprises 3 main areas: main hall, small hall and kitchen. Zone controlled heating is provided throughout.
The building has male/female toilets and a separate toilet for the disabled. The main entrance is from Church Street but there is also a ramped disabled entrance with bell push from Barton Lane. There is some street parking but a larger public car park is just around the corner in Castle Street.
The main hall (16 x 7.5m) has sound speakers and audio loop system with 3 wireless microphones, projector screen and the latest technology to display computer and other graphics. It has a seating capacity of approx 90. Some 20 collapsible tables of two sizes are available for use in either of the halls.
Seating for approx 30. The roof is glazed with thermostatically operated opening windows – they even close automatically when it rains. (9 x 4m). Ceiling hung projector screen and dry-wipe white board.
The kitchen is equipped with fitted units, a cooker, microwave, dish washer, fridges and enough cutlery/crockery for some 90 guests.
