Main Hall
The Main Hall is a spacious area (16 x 7.5 metres) that can comfortably seat 80 people, or 100 people standing, ideal for large gatherings, events, celebrations and there is plenty of space for a bouncy castle for children’s parties.( Hall height is 4.2m and 3m to lights.)
It is equipped with an Audio-Visual System, installed new for 2025, facilitating easy set-up for visiting speakers to display films or presentations using their own equipment.
There is an audio loop system: Available to assist those with hearing impairments.
Bluetooth – Easy to play music from your phone through our speakers.
Kitchen
The The kitchen fully equipped for catering needs, making it easy to host everything from casual gatherings to large events.
Facilities: cooker, microwave, dishwasher, water boiler, and fridge.
Catering Capacity: Sufficient crockery and cutlery to serve over 80 people.
Small Hall
The Small Hall has many uses and works well in conjunction with the main hall, for example for serving food at a party. As a meeting room, it has seating for approximately 30 people.
Furniture and storage
Furniture: There are ample large and small collapsible tables and padded chairs, (including a few accessible chairs with arms)which can be easily arranged to suit the specific needs of any event and used in either hall.
Storage: Regular hirers have the option to have the use of a personal locker in the small hall for storing equipment or supplies, eliminating the need to transport items back and forth.
WC facilities
There are male and female toilets and also an accessible toilet with baby-changing facilities and toddler toilet seats and steps, ensuring the venue is accessible and comfortable for all guests.
Heating
There is zoned gas central heating throughout the building, ensuring a comfortable environment.
Access
For ease of access, there are 2 entrances: the main entrance in Church Street leads into a hall way with separate entrances into the main hall and kitchen. The side entrance, in Barton Lane, has level access and is suitable for wheelchair users, prams and pushchairs.
There is limited parking outside but usually space to drop off and pick up. There is a free car-park about 100 metres away in Castle Street, opposite the Butt of Sherry pub.
